Clinical Postpartum & Newborn Home Visits!

Expert postpartum care, delivered in the comfort of your home.

The days and weeks after birth are a time of tremendous physical and emotional change. While most families leave the hospital or birth center within a couple of days, many postpartum complications develop after discharge, often before the standard two- and six-week follow-up appointments.

Clinical Postpartum Home Visits provide timely, personalized assessments for both the postpartum person and newborn, helping identify concerns early and offering peace of mind during your recovery.

Postpartum (60 minutes)

A comprehensive postpartum assessment includes:

  • Vital signs

  • Bleeding and uterine recovery

  • Incision or perineal healing

  • Breast and lactation assessment

  • Emotional well-being and postpartum mental health screening

  • Referral to a higher level of care when indicated

Newborn (30–60 minutes)

A thorough newborn assessment includes:

  • Vital signs

  • Weight check

  • Feeding and latch assessment

  • Newborn reflexes

  • General wellness evaluation

  • Referral for pediatric follow-up or higher level of care if needed

Who Benefits Most?

Clinical postpartum home visits are especially valuable for families who need closer monitoring after birth, including those with:

  • Pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH)

  • Preeclampsia

  • Postpartum hemorrhage

  • Cesarean birth

  • Breastfeeding challenges

  • Concerns about recovery or newborn feeding and weight gain

Whether you're recovering from a routine birth or navigating a more complex postpartum journey, these visits provide expert clinical assessment, early identification of complications, and individualized support, without the stress of leaving home.
